The GQL/User demo has set up a publisher for the executive button that displays a chart (in the Executive Buttons panel). When you click this button to execute the underlying query, you will be prompted to enter a minimum amount; use either "5000" or "30000" to retrieve stored results. The first time you click this button, GQL will display a directory dialog box, where you can name the edition. Name it "Sales amounts".
An Excel 3.0 file called "Pub/Sub demo" is included with this demo; it subscribes to the "Sales amounts" edition file and draws a chart. Double-click "Pub/Sub demo" to start Excel. With both the GQL/User demo and Excel running, click the chart button and see if the chart updates in Excel. You will have to re-subscribe to the "Sales amounts" edition the first time you run the Pub/Sub demo on your system. The subscriber area in the spreadsheet is A3:B23. To re-subscribe, select the range A3:B23 (20R x 2C), choose Subscribe to… from the Edit Menu, then select the edition file "Sales amounts".
